Should Canadian Soldiers Be Pulled Out of Afghanistan?
My opinion? Yes. The Canadian Army dosent have enough men, the equipment is not sufficent (example: green uniforms in the desert), and I realy don't think American needs our help in Afghanistan. But thats just my opinion.

Stanley Cup
Who's gunna take the cup this year? Who will be the 2002 NHL champions? Who has passed the test of 82 season games and 4 best of 7 series? Which team is diserving to hold hockeys' holy grail high above their head in celebration? Well, lets take a look at the remaning 4 teams. Detroit has dominated the regular season and continues to dominate the playoffs. They are high favored to win but questionable if they diserve it. Colorado has been a hot team with the return of their key player Peter Forsburg who is just destroying his competition. Colorado is underated but can get the job done if taken lightly. They're very able and willing to defend and keep their title of Champions of the NHL. To the east now, Toronto is a gritty team who is extremly determined to go all the way this year. Two hard fought serious have cost Toronto some key players and those who return dont come back 100% such as Sundin. Toronto right now is Canadas' team and the only hope for bringing to cup back home to Canada. Toronto is more then capable of bringing the cup back home but they will have rough road getting there. Carolina has been some what of a suprise knocking off New Jersey and then the Canadians. Carolina is very underated and taken lightly which they should'nt be becuase they are a very good at diserving hockey club. If Carolina wins the Stanley Cup, it will do great things for hockey in Carolina. Carolina is diserving, willing, and ready to go for it all. But who's gunna win it? My opinion, Colorado will keep the Cup for another year. I believe that Detroit cant defeat them and they are too talented, skillled, and more determined then compared to Toronto or Carolina. So in closing, I say Colorado will win, but anything can happen.

WELL WELL WELL! WHOS LAUGHING NOW CALGARY!? IM AM! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... k, im just kidding, I love Calgary but I know that the people of Calgary hate the weather now. 40 CM OF SNOW!? WUZZUP WIT DAT?! Its spring and they get 40cm of snow. The weather in Canada is unpredictable. The 40cm of snow caused MANY traffic problems, many accidents and an incovenience to all. Whos knows, maybe it will all melt in a couple of days and Edmonton will get their blast of snow. Well, Clair Martin from Global Edmonton says: "Tommorrow high will be 10 with a low of -5. The 4day forcast looks like this: Thursdays high is 10 with a low of -2 with a mix of sun and clouds and a 30% chance of rain, Friday's high will be 12 with a low of 0 with sun and clouds with a 40% chance of rain, and Saturday will have the high of 14 and the low of 1 with sun and periods of clouds with a 30% chance of Rain." Alberta Water Issue?
With the drought that was experienced in Alberta last year, and especially in Southern Alberta, our water resource has become a high profile issue. How to manage this water resource is one of the priorities for the Honorable Lorne Taylor, Minister of Environment, who will be our Keynote Speaker at the conference. A new Provincial Water Act was passed a couple of years ago and work is being done to develop Water Management Plans for the different river basins. This conference will look at Alberta’s Water Strategy as it deals with managing a limited water resource. Click here to learn more.

The 16th annual Artic Winter Games take place in Nuut Greenland from March 17 to March 22. Countries Uncluded in the Event are Russia, Canada, America (Alaska) and Greenland. The event hosts over 1000 athletes and 500 volunteer.

Also in totally unrelated news, whats shiny, cost $100,000, smooth, and computerized? If you said a luxery car, YOU ABSOLUTY WRONG! Sony has revealed the SDR-4X which is a robot. Not just any robot, but a robot that makes music. Its not quite Daler Mehndi but it'll do the trick. It is quite amazing with camera eyes and 60'000 word vocabulary. In my opinion, this is just a luxery Furby that sings.

Pakistan Church Attack
At least five people including two Americans, are killed after a grenade attack at a church in Islamabad, Pakistan. Police say two men threw hand grenades into the church during Sunday services. More than 40 people were wounded including ten Americans.

Well, the assignment today is to answer the questions that Mr. Briggs has asked us concerning stereotypes. So, here we go...
1. What is your biggest pet peeve in terms of Canadian stereotypes? My biggest pet peeve is when people don't recognize Canada as a multi-cultural country and think we are all inuit.
2.How would you deal with that stereotype if you were faced with it at a party or in the company of others? Depends. If im angry, I'd educate them on what Canada realy is. If im in a good mood I'd tell a bunch of lies about Canada like saying "yep, our pets are penguins, not dogs."
3.What stereotypes do we hold on to of other cultures? Some think Americans are all "Texans" with the accent and the pick-up truck, with the 3 leg dog. Some have a problem of calling all Oriental people Chinese. Some think that all East Indians are people behind the store counter, or taxi drivers. Are any of these true? Um, no! So before people start running there mouth about things they dont understand, maybe they should do some research first.
4.Is there a way of avoiding stereotypes? People could just research and learn other cultures before they start judging them.
5.Are stereotypes ever helpful? No. Its just lies that turn us away from the truth of what a certin culture realy is.
So, thats my answers to Mr.Briggs Questions. (sorry if any of the above is offensive to anyone.)
